Monday:
Shock
The first step, shocking, oxidizes
and breaks down organics, dirt and
perspiration waste. Once the water
has been tested and adjusted, shock
with SeaKlear
Spa Chlorine-Free Shock
to clear out organics and other contaminants.
Use 2 ounces of SeaKlear
Spa Chlorine-Free Shock
per 500 gallons.
Wednesday: Floc
Floccing removes very small, suspended
particles of dirt and oil that can
cause cloudy water and scum lines
on the spa surface. To floc, add 3
ounces of SeaKlear
Spa Natural Clarifier
for up to 500 gallons of water.
Friday: Sanitize
The third step destroys germs and
disinfects the water. Test and adjust
the water if necessary. Add sanitizer
according to test levels.
When using a bromine system, check
and add SeaKlear
Spa Brominating Tablets if
needed. Make sure the bromine level
is at least 2 parts per million (ppm);
the ideal level of bromine is 4–6
ppm.
When using a chlorine system, use
SeaKlear
Spa Sanitizing Granules,
making sure the chlorine level is
at 3 ppm. Add more sanitizing granules
if needed.
